Job Description

A Lead of IoT Engineer is a technical team leader responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. The Lead combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills to ensure that IoT projects are successful and deliver significant business value.

Responsibility

1. Lead the IoT development team in designing, implementing, and testing embedded software for telematics systems and IoT devices. 2. Manage and oversee the full software development lifecycle, including planning, task assignment, time estimation, and progress tracking. 3. Conduct design and code reviews to ensure quality, security, and adherence to industry standards and best practices. 4. Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, QA teams, and project managers to align technical requirements with business objectives. 5. Define and implement software validation strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing. 6. Serve as the technical liaison between engineering teams, management, and other stakeholders for technology-related decision-making. 7. Promote and enforce software development best practices such as CI/CD, version control, documentation, and modular design. 8. Mentor, guide, and support junior engineers and staff-level team members in technical and professional development.

Requirement

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 2. Minimum 4 years of experience in embedded software development, with at least 1–2 years in a technical leadership role. 3. In-depth experience with telematics technologies such as Automotive Ethernet, CAN Bus, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Cellular communication. 4. Strong understanding and hands-on experience with automotive standards and protocols such as AUTOSAR, ISO 14229, ISO 13400, SAE J1939, and OBD-II. 5. Proven experience leading teams using tools like Git, Jira, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines. 6. Advanced proficiency in embedded development with Linux, RTOS, and programming languages such as C, C++, and Python. 7. Deep knowledge of embedded system architecture, performance analysis, and complex problem solving. 8. Proficiency in using Wireshark for Ethernet packet analysis and network debugging. 9. Strong understanding of socket programming and communication protocols including TCP/IP. 10. Demonstrated ability to design system architecture and software from scratch to deployment. 11. Experience with automated testing platforms and quality assurance methodologies. 12. Results-oriented with excellent technical communication and project leadership skills. 13. Experience delivering commercial IoT products or large-scale embedded systems is a plus.
