Technology Research Specialist

Job Description

becoming a center for analysis and research of new technologies to support Transtrack's product and solution innovations, including IoT, telematics, fleet management, artificial intelligence, automation, and digital transportation systems.

Responsibility

1. Provide technical and functional consulting related to the technological feasibility of hardware-based products, including conducting risk assessments and providing alternative technology recommendations that comply with regulations, operational conditions, and product safety aspects. 2. Conduct market and academic research on the latest technologies relevant to the product roadmap, and identify opportunities for feature development or enhancement based on industry needs. 3. Support Business Analysts in the early stages of requirement formulation by providing insights into technology, architecture, and technical limitations of hardware and system integration; and compile a Technology Feasibility Report as a reference for requirement formulation. 4. Assist in managing research with universities and vendors, and collaborate with internal teams to exchange knowledge and develop research. 5. Compile research results and technology evaluation documentation covering technical aspects, risks, compatibility, and cost estimates in accordance with R&D standards.

Requirement

1. Graduates from Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields. 2. Able to conduct technology research, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for devices and hardware & software integration. 3. Possess good technical communication skills and able to provide research-based solution recommendations. 4. Experience and knowledge in the maritime, transportation, and logistics fields will be an added advantage. 5. Experience in research and development processes or related fields.
