Iot Product Manager

Job Description

Leading the development and management of IoT products that support the Transtrack solution ecosystem—ranging from GPS devices, vehicle sensors, e-seals, telematics, to data integration systems for fleet management & transportation systems.

Responsibility

1. Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for IoT fleet management solutions. 2. Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in IoT fleet tracking, OTA updates, and device health monitoring. 3. Work closely with hardware engineering to define device requirements (sensors, connectivity modules, power efficiency). 4. Partner with sales & marketing to align product features with customer demands and go-to-market strategies. 5. Collaborate with software teams to ensure seamless device-to-cloud integration. 6. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FCC, CE, cellular certifications). 7. Optimize for cost, scalability, and manufacturability in collaboration with suppliers. 8. Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to identify pain points and opportunities. 9. Define KPIs (e.g., adoption rate, device reliability, customer satisfaction) and track success metrics. 10. Ensure IoT products comply with security, privacy (GDPR/CCPA), and industry standards (e.g., IEEE, Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRaWAN).

Requirement

1. Must have 2+ years of product management experience, preferably in IoT devices, embedded systems, or connected hardware. 2. Strong technical understanding of IoT ecosystems (sensors, firmware, cloud connectivity, edge computing, wireless protocols). 3. Experience working with Engineering Teams on hardware/software integration. 4. Proven ability to collaborate with Sales Teams to drive product adoption and revenue growth. 5. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). 6. Strong analytical skills (data-driven decision-making, KPIs, market research). 7. Excellent communication skills (ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders). 8. Background in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. 9. Knowledge of IoT security frameworks and regulatory compliance. MBA or relevant certification (e.g., Pragmatic Institute, CSPO).
